I am getting a warning when shutting down XP Pro that flashes to fast for me
to read. Is there a way I can look up the warning, or pause the display so
I may read it? Help appreciated. Bill

Depends on what program is generating the warning.

You might try Event Viewer.

Thank you for responding. I checked Event Viewer with no luck. The error
flashes so fast, all I can discern is there was some DLL installation
failure. I have heard XP can be disabled to reboot, so the error will
freezer. Any further advice or help on how I may freezer the error to
diagnose would be appreciated. Regards, Bill

Depends on what program is generating the warning.

You might try Event Viewer.

The reboot disabling which you refer to is only for a blue screen error, or
a critical system error.
In that case XP will reboot.

In your case it sounds like some third party application could be at fault.

Without knowing the message it is a bit hard to diagnose.

Sorry.
