Vista will not paste anymore

I am running SP1 64-bit. I am an experienced Windows user and Vista has
been working fine for >1 year.

In the last couple of weeks I suddenly lost the ability to paste. If
I cut or copy a string (browser, notepad, whatever) and try to paste it
(CTRL+V) all that comes out is a single blank space!

This seems like a very basic problem but I searched the forum and could
not find a similar issue. Any suggestions on how to track down the
problem?

Hi,

Did you try System restore?
Click Start button, right-click Computer, choose Properties.
A new window will appear. In the left panel, click System protection.

Choose a restore point from before the date your trouble started.

If this does not help you, see a doctor.

Kind regards,

Rob.

what did you change or install before the problem started?
Doing a system restore to a time before the problem started would be one
way.

I could never figure out what specifically caused it...but yes, System
Restore got it working again.

Thanks for the suggestion.
