I seem to have an Updating problem.......I have Vista Home Premium SP1.
Whenever I try to check on updates the window opens but nothing
happens....it stays blank .
This now is also happening with Windows Defender...it never updates..
I have checked my ZA settings and both programs have permission.
I use AVG free ver 8.At one point I did use One Care but did not renew and
uninstalled it from the machine.
I went and looked up a few solutions and they all applied to non SP1 Vista
and did not work.
any and all help would be appreciated....its really bugging me.

I thank everyone for their input...............the real problem was ZA..
somewhere in the registry it blocked all MS updates wether it be from Vista
Updates..Bitdefender Updates even the Device manager check updates
section......it let thru every other update..mobo drivers..Anti Virus
Updates..anti spyware updates.
Once I uninstalled ZA everything worked again...
Not having the time to search for the offending registry setting I just
installed the Comodo Firewall and everything worked.
again thanks to all who resonded...
