Vista security question

Matthew

I am running Vista Home Premium on a Core 2 duo 6300 with 2GB ram.
I installed a Seagate FreeAgent Pro external HD and now have the annoying
"permission" dialog box and "unidentified program" dialog boxes appear each
time I boot up as the FreeAgent Pro software loads on startup.
Any way to suppress these windows, particularly on startup? More of just an
inconvenience than a problem.

Format your Seagate with NTFS since it is most likely FAT32, find that
"free" agent which cost you 125 bucks and kill it.

All those hardware makers are anxious to claw into your mind. It is not
enough for them that you purchased their hardware. They also want you to
feel that without some additional cr*ap they install along with it your
hardware won't function normally. They may also have some subcontractors
they hire to "create" add-ons or APIs for you of totally questionable
utility which for the most part duplicate functions already enshrined in
Vista but billet known.
