Windows Update is trying to install the SP1 Service Pack on my PC several
times now. I get an error "Service Pack did not install. Reverting
changes". Under the Problem Reports and Solutions program, it states the
problem is due to possible driver issues. I can not find any driver issues.
My questions are

1. Has Windows Update collected all the information it needs in order to
correct this service pack installation problem at some point in the future?

2. Do I need to take any action?

I had 1 of the "problem" drivers(SigmaTel) which I uninstalled.After the hour
install time,my result was the same as yours.I am now in the process of going
thru Help & Support.Face It - We were all conned by Microsoft into believing
this CRAP O.S. was good.

It's not looking good. There is supposed to be a 24 hour wait time. It's been
over 2 days-They must be on vacation.I might have to go to phone support.

Update:I finally got SP1 installed. After 2 weeks of tech support
e-mailing,the culprit was McAffee Security Suite.I uninstalled it and the
update went smoothly!
