When i installed service pack 1 it made my internet explorer stop working. I
can access my access point and use programs such as msn messenger as usual
but i can't access anything through internet explorer. It acts as if im not
connected. Anyone know what i should do?

Did Windows Update offer Vista SP1 or did you install it manually?

I'm pretty hacked off with the service pack, and the fact that when it
automatically installed itself on my home PC, it has caused nothing but
problems. Internet hang and freeze is common, and very irritating, along with
loss of sound on Media Player. I'm going to reformat my hard drive back to
the XP system it came with, then re-install my Vista Home Premium upgrade,
but block out ALL automatic updates from Microsoft completely in future,
irrespective of the priority level attached to them, until I'm certain that
they will work properly when installed. I don't understand any of the
gobbledygook or jargon they post as responses to problems, and in the past,
updates have almost crippled my PC until I had a friend download a remedial
patch for it. Microsoft need to make sure the stuff works and works well
before releasing it, and be more helpful in solving problems when they arise.
