I eeceiving a 5.45Mb video in Vista Mail and it shows up as (1) ATT00089.dat
of 650kb and (2) ATT00089.dat of 6.83Mb. The original file was .wmv format
of 5.45Mb size and the Outlook Express that sent it was set to break apart
files greater than 7.0Mb. My ISP allows single messages of 10Mb and I do not
believe a video.wmv file converted to text would exceed 7Mb - WOULD IT? Is
there something inside Vista Mail that decides to split them upon receipt?
Both XP Outloo Express (sender) and Vista Mail (receiver) are using Cox.net
as the ISP. I have checked Vista Mail help and looked all through options,
accounts, etc. and cannot seem to find any such setting for incoming file
size.

Hi,

There's nothing on the receiving end that breaks apart the files. They were
split by either the sending email program, or by something in transit.
