Thanks for that. I asked the question here because I need the perspective
of a real computer user, not a Linux apologist who thinks it's perfectly
reasonable to spend fifteen minutes trying to get a software onto their
system. I've had issues with Ubuntu, chief amongst them all being my Intel
3945ABG wireless on my laptop. The restricted drivers in 7.04 didn't work.
They were a step ahead though. They managed to give me a list of available
networks, and I could get up to the point where I enter my WEP. Now, if
only it did something with that, rather than think for 30s and pop up the
same window again.
