I have a problem with my new PC (Dell Dimension 690) with a Core 2
Quad E5335 processor, 2 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD

When I use Media Player 11 sometimes the sound stops for 0.5-3 sec.
This seems to be due to searchindexer.exe writing to the HDD. If I
disable Windows Search I don't have the problems. But I don't really
like doing so.

Anyone else experienced the same problem, or could something be wrong
with my machine?

Thanks but this does not resolve my issue.

When trying to install the update I get message saying that patch does
not apply to my system.

I also keep my windows updated automatically. If I disable
searchindexer.exe the problem does not arise.
