I am being haunted by two versions of the rovnix virus ... MSE scans identify them but when I try to remove them one shows as being removed, the other shows as an error occurred. I run Windows Defender Offline with the same result ... it identifies the two virus' but can only remove one, however subsequent scans show that both are still there.
This morning my computer showed that it had shut itself down last night and left this warning:

Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
Locale ID: 1033
Additional information about the problem:

Are these two problems related?
How do I fix them?
If I do a back up now will it carry the problem over to the back up version?
