I suggest you give us a bit more information.
Operating System?
Service pack level?
Internet Explorer version?
Type of videos you are attempting to play?
How you are getting to them/trying to play them?
What happens when you try to play them?
What program and version of that program you are you using to play them?

Installing IE7 did this to my PC, and it stopped me using Roxio 7 to burn
DVD's.
A divx release also stopped some playing so I removed that as well
installing ffdshow decoders
