I've owned an HP pavillion laptop for coming up on 4 and a half years now running windows vista. Just recently, due to a virus, I purchased a new hard drive and the installers uploaded windows 7. I have had a hard time playing videos on any platform. I've also been getting a "display driver has stopped responding and recovered" message. Not sure if these issues are linked, but they both have begun to happen after the new hard drive has been put into my laptop. Any suggestions? I currently have three web browsers installed(IE, Firefox, and Chrome) none of which seem to perform better than the other with playing video. Web pages load just fine. It seems to only be an issue with video.
