I installed my 8800GT two days ago, and since that time Windows Media Center,
and Windows Media Player will not play DVDs or live TV. In Windows Media
Center, it will sometimes show "Video Error Files needed to display video are
not installed or not working correctly. Please resart Windows Media Center or
restart the computer." or the program will sometimes stop responding and
resart. I tried nearly every solution I could find online. I have already
reinstalled many drivers, rolled back drivers, etc... The problem is fixed
when I put my old 7600GT back in, but that is obviously not a solution. I
have the Windows codecs for video and audio installed, and none other. Also,
the drivers I am currently using are the most recent ones from nvidia.com.

Someone please help me,
Ben

Have you installed the new windows Vista drivers Nvidia just released?

I have installed the latest drivers from the nvidia website, they are
forceware 169 drivers for Windows Vista 32.

I have the 8800gt too and am waiting to install Vista. I was at the nvidia
forum and some of those guys have 8800gt and Vista. I will check there,
