video but no sound

so i imported my videos from my digital camara and the are on there fine. i
go to play them and there is no sound. what can i do? i tried making a movie
but the sound was not there. help me please.

If your computer plays sounds in other circumstances, then I'd guess
there is no sound on your movie files. Are you sure your camera
records sound?

yes it does. i dont understand if i import the movie clips to my computer
and i put them in windos media player or movie maker there is no sound. but
i i play something in quick time, there is sound.

i created a little movie and i put a ong in the background but the sound of
the movie clips is not there. its weird because my girlfriends camara when i
import the clips the come out on quick time and there is no problem there.
the sound is perfect. i just dont understand whats going on. i downloaded
what you gave me but it still didnt help with the sound.
