Hi

I'm receiving error during Visual Basic Express setup (offline installation,
ISO image).
'The data file %temp%\sit33212.tmp\deffactory.dat cannot be opened'
Deffactory.dat (750 bytes) exist in the temp directory.
Event log reports that installation completed successfully.

PLS help

David

The Deffactory.dat may corrupt or damaged while burning the Files to create
a CD, try again the download in another time when there is No High pick on
the server.
Uninstall the Old installation, run disk clean up then reboot and try the
installation with AV OFF.

Turn the Anti-Virus Software OFF when installing the VBE2008.
BTW, it this the Beta version you trying to install?.
HTH.
