Hello,
I tried using the migration tool USMT3 to export a users profile to a
network drive so I could put that user on a new domain and not lose
the users profile info (environment).
Unfortunately I'm not able to figure out how to restore the profile
now. I did a restore (loadstate) and it ran with no errors, but I
obviously did something wrong because it didn't restore to profile.
This is how I dumped the profile to a network drive while logged in as
the user (joe)
scanstate \\ads1\\migration\mystore /i:miguser.xml /i:migapp.xlm /o
Then logged in as joe to the new domain and ran this:
loadstate \\ads1\migration\mystore /i:miguser.xml /i:migapp.xml /lac /
lae
The loadstate ran ok, no errors, but it didn't restore.
Was I suppose to put the user id "joe" in place of miguser.xml?
Whats' wrong???
No laughing please
Thanks
