using WHS 2011 to back up a windows 8 pro laptop I get a error. Does anyone have a solution

Windows Home Server 2011 is currently not able to back up UEFI boot systems nor is it able to back up GPT type systems. This may be addressed in a future update to the Windows Home Server product.

Is this still the case?


I just had my father buy a brand new Dell laptop, with the assumption that he'd be able to connect it to his network and back it up to the server in the same fashion his Win7 laptop had been backing up.


Now I'm at a loss as to the correct thing to tell him to do until the next time I can visit.
