Hi,

Need to restrict users home folders to a set size. Would have used disk
qotas but all infomation (project folders, department folders et al..) is
kept on one logical D: drive. Any utilities that I can use to 'only' affect
users home folders (even if this means I move all users home folders to one
area).

Thanks,

AFAIR, Windows 2003 server lets you place a quota on any folder.

Hello Apollo,

Thank you for using newsgroup!

Based on my knowledge, Quotas work at user level not folder level. You may
set the quote on the drive the folders are located.

For quota implementing you need Windows 2003 R2 Standard or Enterprise
version. You can install SFRM from add-remove program in control panel from
CD2. You can also Control folder limit with third party software by
download SpaceGuard SRM.

Thanks & Regards,

Great tools, one of those hidden gems...

Can this be installed/rolled out to Windows 2003 (i.e. not R2) ?

Regards,

Apollo
