I ran the upgrade advisor as I have xp media center sp3. It says it cannot verify NX or XD setting on my bios. Recommends I access the bios and see if its there and activate it. Couldn't find it under the stated security heading or anywhere else. The advisor states that windows 8.1 will absolutely not run with a nx equiped bios.
Motherboard is an Intel 915GAVL Prescott Mainboard LGA775 c/w Intel 3.0 GHz LGA775 533MHz/1MB Cache.
Of course I cant return the windows 8.1 DVD after I've opened it. The advisor states if it cant find this setting it will revert to previous OS.
Does anyone know if this motherboard will run windows 8.1?
