I experienced the disappearing of all the records of updates of Windows (XP
home edition) in Installation of Application. Anyway the updates are in the
system because other programs like JV16 Power Tools can read them.
Someone can help me to recover the Windows updates in Installation of
Applications ?
Thank you

If you are using Windows XP with Service Packs installed, you may need
to check on "Show Updates" at the top of "Add/Remove Programs" Windows.

Dear smlunatick
thank you but that was the first thing I checked
Have you other ideas ?

Does http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com offer you any updates? Does "Update
History" on that page show all the installed updates?

Yer Robert. I checked on Windows Update and it offers no update after
scanning my computer. The hystory shows all the installed updates. In my
add/remove I find the office 2003 updates and the internet explorer 7 ones
but not the Windows updates. Strange. I hope to receive some suggestion.
Perhaps I cancelled a dll
Thank you

1. Enable "Show Hidden Files and Folders" (if necessary):
www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html

2. Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows <=this folder.

3a. Are any of these (hidden) subfolders found? => $NtUninstallKB942763$;
$NtUninstallKB941569$; $NtUninstallKB941568$

3b. Are any similarly named (e.g., $NtUninstallKBnnnnnn$) subfolders found?

I found moreover many files like KBnnnnnn.log

You or someone else apparently deleted those folders. They contained the
information necessary to uninstall the associated update. Since that
information is no longer present, you cannot unintll the updates so the
updates are no longer listed in Add/Remove Programs.
