OK...so, when the updates start installing on shut down are they actually being installed or just downloaded for me to install. And if they're being installed and I don't have to do anything with them, why do they include a setup application in the folders.

I see so many questions about others having trouble installing updates and started wondering if I am supposed to run these setups.
I'm running XP with SP3
I think this is probably a 'duh' type question but if nothing else you got a moment of LOL. Thanks, Julie
