update wont install -no error msg

-win xp-pro
-validated genuine
-did get sp3 update instaled
now win update wont install any update and no error mesage/code..
tryed manualy to.
tryed sevral other update files.
no differens
it wont work
 
Try Method 1, if not Method 2 - ignore the title of the kb article.
Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft Update, or by
using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP installation

Please try it and report back. Most likely all you need is to reregister
some dlls, but that tools does it all for you.

It looks as though it has worked for me as well. We have tried all sorts to
get the updates to install, with no joy. No body seemed to know why,
especially as it did not come up with an error code.

YES....www.codeplex.com worked for me also. I have all kinds of problems
getting updates to install since January. Very frustrating...I tried many
many solutions which did not seem to help. CODEPLEX...just sat back and let
the program run. WORKED WONDERS...THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
