Hi!
I had 5 updates which appeared on Thrusday 14 Mar 2013. After they had installed it asked for my password as usual. Then a black screen, however the curser still moved around.
Ctrl,Alt, del worked and the normal Windows 7 page appeared. By clicking Run, Browse then right clicking Control Panel I had an operating panel and was able to back step the updates.
Everything was then fine. The updates then reinstalled that night - same problem. All my drivers are up to date. I have a new power unit ( the fan went on the old one). I do notice that in Task manager there is no "explorer.exe" process running after the
updates. Also in "My Computer" it lists 3 extra drives (card readers I think) I have back stepped it 3 times and each time it all works correctly. Also when I am in the black screen state when I open IE using links on the computer, ie. help for updates, IE
opens with my bookmarks across the toolbar but the screen is blank but white. Any ideas anyone please -I can't backstep every day!!
