Hi:
Thanks for the responses and suggestions to my previous thread,
'Can Not Install This Hardware/HP.'
After a couple of 'Live Chat,' I finally accomplished the task of
installaing 'discontinued' HP Officejet 6100 All-in-One late last
nite.
What one of techs advised me the following:
(1) First, uninstall software by accessing 'Add/Remove' < Control Panel
(2) Restart PC
(3) Using 'System Restore' to bring up to the time when the Printer was
working
(4) Re-install Software by using the CD that came with the Printer
It took me for about 30 minutes to complete. However, after all I'm VERY
glad
to get the priter back to the original state, except there is no 'original
version' of
Image that took place a new one. I love to have everything in original, but
I can
adjust to this chage.
btw, ... I skipped #3, in my fear of losing something I installed the day
before this
occurred.
If any of you on this board have hard time to install older HP Printer, I
suggest to
go to 'Live Chat' and ask any issues you have. It's terrific experience for
me to
get it solved.
