Unable to use Bluetooth audio device

I have been using a USB Bluetooth dongle for some time with XP with no
problems. I'd like to use a bluetooth dongle and headset for telephony such
as Skype. I've got a Blue Ant V12 bluetooth headset. I have managed to
pair it with my PC, but it won't recognise it as an audio device. In other
words, if I go to Control Panel->Sounds and audio devices->Audio, there is
no bluetooth device listed amongst the Sound Playback or Sound Recording
selections.

It may be useful to know that I can't find "My Bluetooth Places" anywhere on
my machine.

Can anybody help?

With Bluetooth protocol is your system using now? Microsoft's
Bluetooth protocol does not appear to do sound.

Also, Bluetooth audio is not listed as Bluetooth. What audio devices
are listed?

I think I'm using the generic MS bluetooth driver. The dongle that I'm
using is a genuine "no-brand" device. It has no identifying data on it
except that it has "bluetooth" written on it!

I have a total of three devices listed - my on-board device, a USB webcam
and a specialised soundcard that I have installed. Nothing else.

Is it possible to get another driver that supports audio???
