Unable to send file via bluetooth

I've been sending music files via bluetooth from my pc to mobile for a long time now. But today when I did so, the phone doesn't come up with the message that asks me to accept the data. Both the devices are connected but after I click send via bluetooth to "xyz" nothing happens at all.
