Unable to receive emails in my Outlook account, however can send emails?

Error message reads: Diagnostic code: smtp;552 5.2.2 This message is larger than the current system limit or the recipients mailbox is full'. I have emptied my inbox, junk, draft, deleted, sent mail boxes and archived everything else. Please help as I am waiting for extremely important emails (regarding job offers etc). I would rather continue to use this account than switch to gmail or similar, however I may not have a choice if this is not resolved asap. Thank you


Thought I might add that I have received an email from Microsoft into this account so this makes it even more confusing as to why it can receive this and no other email? Help!
