Ubuntu 7.04 Day 2: Had To Reinstall It After It Stopped Booting Up When
Turning On The Computer, Just FYI. I Must Have Made A Configuration
Error Mistake Somewhere. This Proves However That There Can Be Problems
With Linux Not Booting Up, And That It's Not A Microsoft Windows Only
Problem, Just FYI. Found An Interesting Game Called KQ In The Add/Remove
Software Section (Similar To Final Fantasy 1). Also Found A Software
Called AMSN There That Allows Me To Log Into My Windows Live Messenger
Account In Linux (Basically Is A MSN Messenger For Linux Users).

Kenin nobody in this group cares about your toy insecure OS.

Don't you know Vista is more secure then Ubuntu

Look at http://www.securityfocus.com/bid to compare the vulnerabilities.

Try Vendor: Microsoft
Title: Windows Vista
Version: Select Version

You will see 1 page

Try Vendor: Ubuntu
Title: Ubuntu Linux
Version: Select Version

You will see 20 pages.

What is the point of talking about Ubuntu in a vista forum?

RE: Brain Dead Moron using Ubuntu - Just FYI

The reason he talks about his political agenda, his computing escapades, and
his job quests is because he is a bit "slow" if you know what I mean. He
spews his narrow views around just to piss people off.

Just FYI.

He also has trouble typing. He capitalizes each word. I think his Mommy
taught him that. Just FYI.

Try Radio Shack TRS-80

Kevin,

The best thing you can do for yourself and the community at large is to wipe
all your computers clean then give them to charity. ust FYI. Once that is
done, you can then get a TRS-80 and be up and running with all your tasks
that come to mind. Just FYI

Just FYI.

Maybe there is a secret message, take each capitolized letter, and see if

The Supreme Court joing the Supremes - Just FYI

It was reported today that the members of the Supreme Court will tour later
this year with the Supremes. Diana Ross reported that the newly formed
group will tour 13 cities on the east coast. This tour will be possible
with the planning software donated by the OpenSource community.

The planning software originally purchased for Vista crashed and burned so
the Court asked the Ubuntu Marketing Department, Alias for help. Alias
stated that Ubuntu is the world saviour.

Film at 11. Keep tuned.

Just FYI

What to do to fix issues

Take the computer into the back yard.
Dig a big hole.
Place the computer in the big hole.
Throw the dirt in the big hole, making sure to cover computer.
Pack the dirt.
Place flower on top of the mound.

Your computing problems will be fixed.

Just FYI.

Re: Ubuntu 7.04 Day 2: Had To Reinstall It After It Stopped Booting Up When Turning On The Computer, Just FYI.

Lang,

We are here long enough to know his condition, so why don't we just give him
and the rest of us a break? :)

Nothing is going to change and I only hope he can leave out those political
posts, and and we don't have to reply like those jerks.

Well, you know something's wrong when they call Ubuntu a "vendor". The

Indeed, If You Look At The Current U.S.A. Government's Software
Vulnerability List At http://www.uscert.gov, There Is Only 1 Active
Vulnerability For The Linux Kernel And None For The Ubuntu 7.04
Software, Just FYI.

Your post is misleading.

Yes, you may see 20 pages, but, if you CORRECTLY fill in the 'Version:'
field with the latest 7.04 (?), it comes back saying NONE.

In addition to that, although I didn't crosscheck everything, the one
page for Vista is not really one page. For instance, the vulnerabilities
listed under IE can be added to the Vista list as well, since (according
to MS) IE is part of the OS. So that one page may really be 3 or 5 or
more. Like I said, I didn't look through everything.

xfile,

Oh, I wasn't giving Kevin crap... I was trying to point him in the right (no
pun intended) direction. If he has questions about Ubuntu, he really should
post them in alt.os.linux.ubuntu if he expects knowledgeable answers.
(Although, admittedly, there are folks that hang out in this ng that could
answer his questions.)

You can't point him in the right direction. Impossible, Just FYI

Re: Ubuntu 7.04 Day 2: Had To Reinstall It After It Stopped Booting Up When Turning On The Computer, Just FYI.

Hi Lang,

I know your good intensions, seriously, but he probably won't go there.

This is what I think just for reference, he just wants to participate and to
get involved in this community but may not know what are proper ways because
of his condition.

I'd think this as an exceptional case and probably we should have more
tolerance and patience for him :)

There are people even worse than him :)

So the least thing I can do is to give him a break. My two cents though.
