Hi

Just implemented my first TS. I wonder do I have to concider BackUp at all?

The TS houses MS office and the mos important 3rd party Accounting SW
Desktops to process data in SQL server.

If TS fails I'll propably reinstall it together with 3rd party SW experts.
How ever, I do have disk and tape space to hold TS BackUps. Actually I have
recources to full backup it every week (day) if it is good idea.

What do yoy recommend me to do?

Thanks,

Juha

A properly configured TS doesn't contain any user data, so there
shouldn't be any need for regular backups.
But make sure that you have the installation procedure for a TS
from scratch completely documented.
I always keep an image of a standard TS, so that I can create a new
one within half an hour, if needed.

Hi Vera

Thank you for your answer. I will make some notes regarding installation and
leave it as is.
