Trying to update my windows vista with Windows Service Pack 1

....I have downloaded the Windows Service Pack 1 and installed it 3 times now through my Windows Updater. It says it was installed successfully but then it says &quotnew update ready to be installed&quot and it is the same one, then when I go to download the next
Windows service pack 2 so I can finally download explorer 9 it says I can't download it until I download the Windows Service Pack 1 UGHHHHH??????
