Trouble with log on

I have a laptop that I haven't used in a couple of years. I open up the log-in by clicking alt, control, and delete. I've got my user name, but my password doesn't work. I've had to change passwords several times since I've used the laptop and don't remember the password I was using when I last used the laptop. It is useless unless I can log in. HELP!
