I have program which receives sound from radio into PC. I must use the LINE
IN jack with the program. Initially I must "open the "volume Control
(soundcard drivers/software) depending on the operating system your PC uses,
follow procedure outlined below:
Windows XP/NT Start>programs>Accessories>multimedia>Volume Control"

I Have Windows Vista Home Premium on my PC and the above prcedure steps are
not in Vista - What clicks are on Vista to use?
Secondly, When I went to Vista Help. to The above subject, one of the
instructions is: "Click Start, click control panel, click "Hardware and
Sount", then click Manage Audio devices."
Again these clicks are not in my Vista program

Can someone help me relate both of the above instructions to my Vista program

Right click on the Speaker icon in the Notification Area of the Taskbar to get
to Playback Devices and Recording Devices. Or Control Panel (Classic View) >
Sound.

Thank you for your response, but your response dosen't get me to the panel
"Play control" which has six sliders on it for Play control,
Wave,MIDI,Audio,Line-In,and Microphone.
Also the instruction says I should also see three other panels .i.e.,
Properties
Record Control and Advanced Control for Microphone
Could you please re-check and advise
Many thanks

The panel you are searching for is no longer available in Vista or
with the new Audio Drivers for Vista (yet)

If you can't find the options in control panel as stated by previous
posters you will need to contact the manufacture of your audio
device.

Thanks Bear, but somehow, with the Vista, I needd to getr to the soundcard
volume controls for Line-In and Line-out. I have seen a panel somewhere
with sliders on it, but don't know how to get to it. In Vista what new
panel would do the function of those panels that are no longer there
