I have windows XP Professional. It will start to boot up but right before in
would get to the login page it seems like it freezes-it just stays at a blank
screen. I went into safe mode to try and get it started and I would click on
an option and then it would freeze again. Any ideas?

Use the option to start with:
"Safe Mode With Command Prompt"
