I have a 12 Year old Dell 8300 XP and just received a HP Pavilion 23. Purchased a WD 1TD external drive the data from my old computer be transferred to my new computer? Also, my old computer has a some type of pass protection, when typing data on a disc or floppy It appeared to be blank on any other computer. Do I have to remove the password protection before I transfer my computer data onto the external drive?
