Earlier this year, pro skateboarding legend Tony Hawk and publisher Activision announced plans to release a new mobile game called Tony Hawk's Shred Session sometime in the summer of 2014. That date came and went with no such launch. Today, Hawk confirmed that Shred Session "has been put on hold indefinitely."
Hawk didn't give a reason for the decision, but he did add, "I'm currently working with Activision on a console game for 2015 (along with a new mobile game). I think fans of THPS series will be hyped." That's "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" for those of you unfamiliar with the original console game that was first released in 1999 and became both a massive hit on its own and the start of the Tony Hawk game series.
