This week I purchased a 1 foot square of polished marble for under
$3.00.

Placing it under an optical mouse provides extremely fast and SMOOTH
operation of the mouse.

I heartily recommend the investment. Note, the marble was a dark
color, which works better than light color marble.

best, Aaron

Not a bad cost as long as the polished surface doesn't cause reflection problems.
For a slimmer lighter solution one can use Black Plexiglass 1/8 x 12 x 12 which
should be available at most home improvement stores.
Also available online:

This is a hardware group, not an OS group.

NO, it's a group dealing with the OS and it's interaction with
HARDWARE, not just pure hardware.
As such, THIS QUEESTION DOES NOT BELONG HERE.
