Apple has always been at the forefront of sustainable energy, and at this year's Climate Week, Tim Cook will highlight how lowering carbon emissions is in the interest of companies. Tim Cook's speech marks the first time the executive participated in the event, and he will be joined by executives from other companies actively looking to create a more sustainable environment.
In this year's environmental report, Apple reaffirmed its commitment to go green, stating that the manufacturer is implementing new technologies so that each new generation of products consume less energy. Apple's data centers are already powered by renewable energy, and the manufacturer has mentioned that its upcoming campus will be also be powered by green energy.
The conference kicks off at 10 AM EST, with Tim Cook's speech scheduled for 12 PM EST.
