Hi all,

I have the Lenovo laptop the brought to me with the windows 8 64 bits.

On the last few weeks, the notepad icon changes on the windows tools ruler, and it looks as usual on the windows desktop (even if I delete it and produce a new one).

After running a few time my anti-virus program (Symantec…) without any results people told me to check/fix the problem with the sfc.exe program.

My problem is as follows:

  • When I am running the sfc.exe program as administrator.
  • I see that the windows opens a new small window that asks my permission to run the program and make changes on the window I am pressing yes.
  • Then it opens a few windows and I see that my antivirus notifies me that it found a new Filename called Docs 0.6-bg.exe with Risk as Trojan.Gen.2 and Action Quarantined with risk type as a virus.
  • From that point, I cannot see any more activities on the Computer due to that program and the notepad.exe continues to be different.

Due to the above, I only delete that notified file from the quarantine folder.

I will appreciate any help regarding that problem and the sfc.exe program.

Thanks,

Shimon.
