Installed Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 and it seems to be incompatible
with my w2k_SP4/ie5.50 installation for ie5.50 on many websites started
throwing a warning that some error happend and it will be restarted, while
oddering an option to notify Microsoft about this problem.
Tried various combination of Kaspersky settings - nothing helps short of
exiting it completely.
I guess I need to update the browser.
What is the most recent version of IE suitable for w2k ?

Hello aa,

IE6 with SP1. I would strongly recomend that you use www.windowsupdate.com
to update your machine.

Thanks for the direct answer to the question. As to the recommendation to
use www.windowsupdate.com, I try not to repair unless broken and not to
install anything unless it is absolutely unavoidable.
In the past such an "update" costed me re-installing the whole OS because of
some unwanted side-effects.
