The "look" of my icons in my folders are messed up. Can I change them back?

I installed Paint Shop Pro in my XP and clicked on jpes, gifs, and png's to open by Paint Shop Pro.I uninstalled it, hoping to get everything back to normal. Now the front of all my icons in myfolders look like "zips" instead of jpegs, gifs, etc. Can you help me PLEASE??? Thank you in advance!Jamy
