I run Windows XP with Publisher 97 I knowits old but it worked fine until recently .......I want to know how to fix a problem at source because I am getting this message when I re-open a .pub file .................
"The file is being used by another currently running instance of Publisher
Try closing other instances of Publisher or saving your work in those instances; then try again. OK "
I can sort this out by
a) going into the Task Manager and 'ending the process' but Windows should have done this automatically. Its really annoying to have to do this when trying to re-open the same file and getting the message and then terminate the process in Task Manager.
b) restarting Windows and this works but doesn't solve the reoccurring problem.
Any help would be appreciated .
