Windows 2000 TCP IP Settings on W2K Server

Probably very basic I know, but have not encountered it before.

I have 2 W2K Servers running AD and DNS.

In the TCP / IP static settings do I need to put anything in the DNS
Primary and Secondary or leave it empty. If I leave it empty will they
default to themselves for DNS?

Currently they have their own IP's as primary and the secondary is
pointing other DC. We are having policy & replication problems and I am
curious as to whether or not these settings would have any impact.

Thanks in advance.

Damien
