Taskbar not holding minimized url pages

Windows XP SP2, with IE6.

Don't know if this is a Windows or a browser problem, but thought
I should post here first.

If I have a webpage minimized on the taskbar and then open a
second url, the minimized url disappears from the taskbar
likewise if I minimize the second url to the taskbar, the first
minimized url disappears also, and is replaced by the second url.

If the second minimized is a file or folder from the hard drive,
then the problem doesn't occur, in other words words, only a
second webpage (url) will cause the problem.

I've looked all over for the setting that controls this, but can't
find it. Any pointers/fixes will be appreciated.

Thanks,

George

Are these pages in separate IE windows or on tabs in the same IE window?
If they're on tabs this is expected behavior.

Frank,

These were in separate IE windows (completely different websites),
but I found the setting:

IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Browsing > uncheck
"Reuse windows for launching shortcuts"

George
