Recently various scheduled tasks have been failing with 0x41306 - the only solutions I can find online try to get me to download an run a program called ReimageRepair.exe, which I am somewhat reluctant to do, or to use Windows restore to recent a previous system backup point. see here
Before attempting the latter, which I am also somewhat wary of doing, wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge of this reimagerepair utility, or any better recommendations?
Thanks...

I have no experience with reimagerepair. I have seen that error a few times. I have tasks that move files from one drive to another or copy files from the servers to NAS. If a task is running to copy files and hasn't finished and the next task starts the first one will stop with that error. In this case I changed the start times for the tasks and made sure I selected end previous task if it is running.

I also saw the same error shortly before I had a hard drive fail while the task was copying files off the drive.

As far as system restore goes I have used it many times to fix various issues and never had a bad experience with it.

The task creates files (graphs as images) then copies them to various locations, and can be a little time-consuming. I'll experiment with giving it more time. Thanks for replying.

Two things:

If AWS Free PC Help Forum Owner is reading this: my name is appearing in this thread as the poster - and also in the one above about FTP ports. ????

And re the actual post: can the application that the task is calling be re-coded to ensure it is a single-instance only app? ie that it only allows one instance to be run simultaneously? That's how I sorted a similar issue out.

cheers
