This morning, after some XP automatic updates, I noticed the entire Title Bar
as well as the Tab controls are missing from Task Manager.

How do I get them back??

It's running in "Tiny Footprint" mode. Double click on the border.

Thanks. Got them back. What a dumb ass "feature" - I've only been using the
Task Manager for 20 years and never run into this. Awk!

It's actually a fairly common problem, and we get people asking about it
here a lot.

Yes, it's a feature.Conceivably somebody might want to do this to keep the
task bar open but using minimal screen real estate while running other apps,
but I'm with you and don't think much of the feature either. I've never
wanted to do it, and don't think it's very useful at all. My guess is that
*many* more people do this by accident and think of it as a problem than do
it on purpose because they want it that way.
