The area down near the start button(task bar?)it says AOL 9.1 in a box,is it
possible to have the other windows I open up appear there to?

You are possibly talking about the 'Quick Launch toolbar' Click on a vacant
part of the task bar and, from the drop down menu that appears, Click the
Toolbar option. See if there is a 'tick' mark next to the Quick Launch'
option. If there is then this is what you are describing. The quick launch
toolbar usually contains the show desktop, switch between windows and the
internet explorer icons too. This area I used for quickly launching
programs. To add a program to the quick launch toolbar Right click on the
program Icon you want to add and, from the drop down menu, click on 'add to
quick launch'.

Hi Mark,

In addition to John's post, this may help as well.
