T-Mobile has just announced their Un-carrier 5.0 initiative. The move has T-Mobile introducing the "T-Mobile Test Drive", a way for customers to try out an iPhone 5s for seven-days at no cost. Customers will get an iPhone 5s and can use it on T-Mobile's unlimited nationwide service. No data overcharges. Un-carrier 5.0 also sees T-Mobile expanding their network. Starting June 23, people can sign up for T-Mobile Test Drive. A few days later, they'll receive an iPhone 5s to test on T-Mobile's network.
T-Mobile also has a massive network expansion underway. Here's what's happening:
- Expansion of Wideband LTE into 16 total markets, giving all T-Mobile LTE devices a speed boost with peak network speeds up to nearly 150 Mbps.
- Expansion of Voice over LTE (VoLTE) to more than 100 million people in 15 total markets, doubling the amount of data dedicated to voice calls for highest quality HD Voice and faster call setup times.
