system restore

CATHY0097

My son changed things on my computer. I tried going to system restore and
system restore has no bold dates other than todays date--it will not let me
go to a previous month or date. I am using windows xp.
 
Ask him if he cleared them.

You're in trouble. You will - if you are able - have to fix things
manually.
 
By trying to determine what happened to them. Don't you have ANY analytic
ability at all?
Get as much info as you can before going off in the wild blue yonder.

I'm actually a very analytical type and a good troubleshooter.

While knowing what/how it happened will help keep it from happening
again, it ain't gonna bring the damned things back, so it's not going
to help in this situation.
