I just moved my OS, software, and data from a 250 GB drive to a new 500 GB
Seagate drive (used DiskWizard from Seagate to reimage). All went
relatively smoothly this time, except for the
following: The Windows System Restore Application won't run. I get an error
message "System Restore Application has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
With the following information
AppName: rstrui.exe AppVer: 5.1.2600.2180 ModName: srrstr.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00009826
I typically use the restore function to set restore points before making any
changes, and would like to have this working properly again. please help
