I recently added 2GB RAM making the total size to be 4GB but the System
Properties shows only 2GB. On the other hand System Information of
System Tools shows 4GB. How can I check to see if 4GB is being actually
utilized or not? The OS is WXP Pro with SP3 installed.

This is a know issue with 32bit XP.
your system will not show the entire 4g ram but it is recognised by the
bios.
its nothing to worry about

Try this. Go to Start Run, plug in MSCONFIG, ok. When that opens, look
on the "Boot.ini" tab, Advanced options button, UNcheck "MAXMEM" setting
if ticked.

No, there is no check mark on "MAXMEM".
Thanks for your response anyway.
